Description:
After breakfast, you drive to Materuni village, nestled in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Local guides welcome you and lead a short hike through lush forest, past banana plantations and small farms. The trail is green and alive with birdsong. Soon, you reach Materuni Waterfall—a stunning cascade dropping over 80 meters into a clear pool. You can swim in the refreshing water or simply relax and enjoy the view. Afterward, you return to the village for a traditional coffee tour. Farmers show you how Arabica beans are grown, harvested, roasted, and ground. You join in the process, singing local songs as you pound beans by hand, then taste the freshest cup of coffee imaginable. A local lunch is served, often with banana stew, rice, or vegetables. In the afternoon, you drive back to Moshi or Arusha, arriving by early evening. The day ends with memories of nature, culture, and community.
