Description:
After breakfast, you drive to Arusha National Park. The day begins with a game drive across open savannah, where giraffes stride gracefully and buffalo graze. You may also spot zebras, warthogs, and monkeys. Later, you explore the lush rainforest on the slopes of Mount Meru, with towering fig trees and waterfalls. The park is also home to black‑and‑white colobus monkeys, often seen leaping through the canopy. By midday, you visit the Momella Lakes, a series of shallow alkaline lakes that attract flamingos, hippos, and countless waterbirds. The scenery is stunning, with Mount Meru rising above and Kilimanjaro visible on clear days. Depending on your preference, you can add a short walking safari or canoeing on the lakes for a closer experience with nature. After a picnic lunch, you continue your game drive before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon. The day ends with relaxation at your lodge or hotel.
